This is the series A HANGER A WEEK; a challenge to design/create a hanger every week with a steel rod and a bender.
A HANGER A WEEK comes from #redbrown n.2 (anyone is free to stop by our studio and drop us their thoughts, desires, craziness, onomatopoeia… so we can do something about). This one had written: “Esteu penjats” Catalan for “You’re nuts” but strictly “penjar” is “to hang”. The A HANGER A WEEK is mainly an experiment around hangers.
A HANGER A WEEK 01: LESS IS HANGS MORE is a hanger creation with a single bend, but maintaining its primary function.
A HANGER A WEEK 02: WITHOUT YOU, I’M NOTHING is a great name for this one, as it won’t be able to execute what it has been created for if there’s nothing to hang from it. Importance of relations hanger-clothes, “I need you while you need me”.
A HANGER A WEEK 03: LOOK ATº ME is an experiment on a different look at the hanger, a simple twist will change “everything” the main use of the hanger swifts from “holding” a garment to “displaying” it. Not so much focused on storing than on choosing.
A HANGER A WEEK 04: THE HUGGER is way more about its relation with the hanging rod than the garments.
