“El Nan Casteller” game was born from the original idea of the young group of entrepreneur girls conforming “Nan Creatiu”. Their target: create a family game to mimic the construction of the human towers or castles (castells). As a result: a game/souvenir/decoration piece to explore creativity and skills for the whole family.
It’s composed of 3 basic elements (casteller, aixecador and enxaneta, corresponding to the 3 main member types in a “castell”). Made out of wood in a sustainable process, you can build real “castells” structures.
Even if this it is planned, designed and executed to envision the real human structures from Catalan heritage and part of the UNESCO’s World Heritage since 2010, it can be simply bought as a souvenir or a general skills/construction game for kids, but you can take it seriously and create real structures. A mini-guide explains how to, and you can mimic any structure you can find on site during an event or surfing the web, as the number of Nans in a full set is over the members of the biggest real structure ever made!
It has been developed to follow their motto: Força, equilibri, valor i seny (strength, balance, courage and common sense), this is “el Nan Casteller” game!
